Carro 2015

This Spanish blend of Monastrell, Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo is an easy drinking and earthy red that pairs nicely with pulled pork and other rich meats. It’s a soft, balanced wine with no tannin after-bite, so would be a great wine to serve to guests who usually eschew red wine.

Acón Joven 2014 OR Legado Muñoz Chardonnay 2015

Acon JovenThe Acón Joven Tempranillo from Spain won the Silver Medal at the Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition in 2015 and is bursting with fresh red and black fruit flavors and has subtle floral hints. Acón has a smooth mouthfeel, with rich fruit roundness and ripe tannins. This wine is equally at home paired with a cheese plate or with your favorite barbeque meats.

Legado MunozIf you think you don’t like Chardonnays, Legado Muñoz Chardonnay may win you over. This unoaked 100% Chardonnay is a deep straw yellow color and has aromas of tropical fruits with a nice citrus tang on the tongue. It has a thick, smooth mouthfeel and subtle aftertaste of sugar snap peas and hazelnuts—and zero oakiness. This crisp white is lovely alone as an aperitif, with your favorite Gourmet Cellar picnic fixings and either chicken or fish dishes.[/full_width]
